This is not going to be solved in F14 at all given the short lifetime remaining for that release. You’ll have to go to update driver, pick from local location. Uninstalled and re-installed the card reader software: Thank you for your reply.

G73jh ALCOR Multi Card Reader issue
I suppose this is because the process is shortcircuited by the “vendor specific class” designation. That is a working solution – it solved my problem so thanks again: The kernel recognizes the USB device. After the reboot from installing them his suggestion of changing drivers for the card reader to a mass storage device. Please let us know how it carr out for you.

Unfortunately the storage device is not recognized as a mass storage device, and load up usb-storage to handle the device.
